AGAP and The God Question
On Wednesday 9th October, a full-to-capacity Turnbull Hall at Glasgow University was the venue for a special screening of “Mind and Consciousness”, the third broadcast programme in the series. The evening, hosted by Stephen Callaghan,Creative Director of the Archdiocese of Glasgow Arts Project, culminated in an intriguing conversation about the God question. The panel featured Sergio Casci (Screenwriter) Father John Keenan, Dr Mandy Evans-Ewing (Humanist) and Dr Jonathan Cavanagh (Reader in Institute of Mental Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow) and Iain Morris (Series Producer, The God Question). The evening was held in association with the St Andrew’s Foundation.
The quality of the discussion and the level of audience interest and involvement led to the evening being extended ‘till late’ but the level of appreciation for the intriguing subject matter was high drawing such written responses as:
- It would have been good if it had lasted longer.
- Great to have a debate without rancour
- Such a challenging and interesting topic.
