Not surprisingly, answers on the God Question vary. Below, we offer some glimpses of "who says what" in the forthcoming series. Please note, however, that some interviewees are included in the programmes for their subject expertise and not specifically to comment on their beliefs about God.

General Information about our Contributors

The contributors selected for The God Question series are among the best qualified in the world to respond to the big issues of the series. They not only come from both sides of the Atlantic, they divide on the God question as well.

Each major interviewee is an expert in a relevant subject for, in weighing evidence for or against the existence of God, it’s essential that the information is as accurate and as up to date as possible.

Cosmologists and physicists unravel some of the mysteries of the universe; biologists and palaeontologists probe the wonders of life on earth while neuroscientists shine light into the fascinating world of the human brain, mind and consciousness. Historians and sociologists help interpret trends past and present, while philosophers keep watch on how convincingly the logic stacks up.

Since the big questions in this series are about God, there are also theologians, most of whom are experts in other disciplines as well.

The vast majority of contributors are authors or journalists and in most cases have strong opinions on the God question.

Most importantly, for a series that is impartial, across the disciplines there are contributors who are theists and some who are atheists.
